After the fasting in the month of Ramadan, we celebrate the day of Eidul Fitr. We take this opportunity to wish you and your family, Eid Mubarak!

As Rasullullah (saw) had said, “On the last night of Ramadan, Allah bestows much reward on the fasting person. One companion asked, “Is that due to Laylatul Qadar?”. Rasullullah (saw) said, “No, that’s a separate reward, this is for completion of fasting in the month of Ramadan. It is only right that when the servant has completed his duties, he earns the reward from his Rabb.”

May Allah bless you and your family on this joyous days of Eidul Fitr. Enjoy the day with your family and friends, and thank Allah much for His bounties on us.

Also, please give charity and pray for the ummat in Palestine/Gaza and other parts of the world who are undergoing much hardship, starvation and oppression by people who do much mischief on earth.

Eid is the day of celebration with family and friends. Rasullullah (saw) described Eid as “the days of eating, drinking and remembering Allah”. He encouraged us to balance the entertainment with the remembrance of Allah (swt) during the holidays. Celebrating the holidays within the guidelines of the sunnah turns these days into a form of worship. For this reason, preparing for Eid in advance, spending the eve of Eid in worship, getting up early the next day, making ghusl, brushing your teeth with a miswak (or toothbrush), applying attar (perfume), wearing clean and nice clothes, going to the mosque a little early, uttering tasbeeh, tahmeed, takbir, and tahleel (Subhan Allah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar and La ilaha illallah) on the way to the mosque, giving charity (sadaqa), greeting everyone with a smile, giving gifts, visiting relatives and graveyards, reconciling with others and practicing any other sunnahs will add more value and reward to this day.
